A friendly, supportive place to learn, share and develop your photography.

Our Photography Community brings together photographers of all levels who want to develop their skills, understand and practice the principles of photography, and explore the art, craft, and ideas behind creating images.

More than just photography skills

We will explore the ideas behind photography, from visual storytelling and photographic practice to landscape, Wildlife, Street, and Studio photography, as well as psychogeography, place, space, and the ways we understand and interpret images.

You will have a place to ask questions, share ideas, and discuss your photography in a friendly, respectful, and supportive environment. No question is too simple, and there is no pressure to keep up.

Regular online learning and support sessions, workshops, community discussions, and opportunities to meet other members in person at social events and photographic activities.

More than photography

Whether you want to improve your photography, get more from Lightroom and Lightroom Classic, explore Affinity Photo, learn Photoshop, or discover new tools for managing and processing your images, you will find practical guidance, ongoing training, and support.

Alongside photography and post-processing, the community will also offer online training to help you get more from the everyday digital tools that support your photography.

Courses and support will cover software such as Lightroom, Affinity Photo, Affinity Publisher, Affinity Designer, Photoshop, Photomatix Pro, LR Timelapse and many more.

That might include word processing, spreadsheets, video conferencing and other essential digital skills, as well as specialist software used by photographers.

The aim is simple. To help you feel confident with the tools you use, so technology becomes part of your creative practice rather than something that gets in the way.

And at the heart of the community is Mark.

With decades of experience as a multi-award-winning, qualified photographer, educator, and audio-visual practitioner, Mark has helped photographers build skills, understand their software, and gain confidence in their creative decisions through workshops, mentoring, online training, and ongoing support.

This isn’t about telling you how to make photographs.

It’s about giving you the skills, knowledge and support to make your own decisions.
